The Story & Philosophy

Blair grew up in the Atlanta area and knew that she wanted to be involved in theatre from a young age. She got cast in her first ever production at the age of six as a Munchkin in "The Wizard of Oz" and from then she was hooked. She acted in local productions in and around Atlanta as she grew up and in nearly all of her high school shows. When Blair was a senior in high school, she was asked to be the Student Director of her school's first-ever competition one-act, "The Theory of Relativity", and took the show all the way to 4th place at the GHSA One Act Play State Championships. Thus began her love of directing. She continued following her passion for theatre in college, where she was a part of the Gainesville Theatre Alliance at The University of North Georgia.

Blair's goal as a director is to create theatre where every audience member can see themselves reflected on stage physically, mentally, and/or emotionally. She does her best to center the stories of women and queer people in the plays she directs because she feels it is her job as a theatre artist to educate and connect her community with the greater world around us through the art of theatre.

When she is not attending or participating in theatre, Blair loves hanging out with her friends, thrift shopping, learning new line dances, and helping raise future guide dogs with the Guide Dog Foundation.
